Caring for our environment
ThenMedia, the team behind Chrestos, is based in Chester, on the doorstep of the Cheshire countryside and the river Dee. That matters to us, and it is a big part of why we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. We want to help look after the place we call home, and to build tools that do the same for yours.
Caring for the environment is not a box ticking exercise for us. It is just part of who we are, and part of what you get when you choose Chrestos.

Every Chrestos website is hosted on infrastructure that has matched 100% of its annual electricity use with renewable energy purchases since 2017, and the data centres we use are on a clear path toward round the clock carbon free energy.
It costs you nothing and changes nothing about the way your website performs. It simply means your church’s site runs on cleaner power than it otherwise would.

Our team works from home, so there are no daily commutes and no office to heat and light. We keep equipment in service for as long as it is safe to, and we write efficient code, which uses a little less energy every time somebody opens one of your pages.
None of these are grand gestures. Made consistently, year after year, they add up.
